Unlocked (what's this?)

What is an "Unlocked" phone?

Many mobile phones are designed to use a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to store subscriber data. These SIM cards are issued by the carrier and provide voice & data service to the phone. "Locked" mobile phones will only recognize SIM cards from the carrier that originally provided the phone. Almost all mobile phones provided by local carriers are locked to that carrier’s network and cannot be used on other networks.

"Unlocked" mobile phones can use SIM cards from any carrier that supports the phone's operating frequencies. This makes them more convenient for switching carriers & traveling abroad. As many carriers also require customers to purchase pricey 2-year data contracts with new smartphone purchases, buying an "unlocked" phone can also be cheaper in the long run, as it allows customers to use "pre-paid" and "no-contract" SIM-card options or to switch to a new carrier when a cheaper, better plan becomes available.

BlackBerry Passport LTE - SQW100-1: RGY181LW Features

Opting for a BlackBerry Passport LTE SQW100-1 gives the new owner a stunning range of functions and a technological delight suited to modern lifestyles. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with a 2.2GHz rating lurks behind the large 4.5-inch display screen and gives instantaneous responses. The BlackBerry 10 operating system further enhances the capability of this device.

The Passport's screen is touch sensitive and has been designed to offer users a hassle-free experience whatever the task in hand. Users are able to scroll up documents and edit them immediately. Viewing webpages is so much easier as the screen has the resolution to provide the same aspect as a desktop computer. Maps load up rapidly and scrolling to the desired destination presents no difficulty.

For this device, BlackBerry took its signature keyboard and to the amazement of gadget aficionados actually improved on it.

Typing on the Passport's keyboard allows for greater accuracy while the large screen enables mistakes to be picked up straight away.  Features such as flick-to-type and a key-slide cursor take the Blackberry experience to a whole new level.

Using the Passport to make telephone calls provides audio akin to that of the finest surround-sound system. Onboard speakers and quad microphones work with natural sound balance to adapt audio according to background noise and cellular or wireless internet interference.

BlackBerry® Hub is a central phone archive to collate all call records, text messages, e-mails and social media messages. The Hub boasts a logical filing system which gives the owner a secure method of organising their messages.

The Passport houses a powerful 3450 mAh battery and a power-optimisation system which gives usage time of as much as 30 hours. The machine has 3GB of RAM and an internal memory capacity of 32GB. This is expandable via the microSD slot by another 128GB. A 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front one round off the attractions of the Passport SQW100-1.

What a Choice!

Made all the years the wrong choice. Couldn't work with these screen kbs. Typing msgs and replies is a breeze. Programs enough via BlackBerry and Amazon appstore. Best choice so far and excellent service from Expansys HK. Pickup and walk away within 30 mins.

Great business phone!

So east to use and so productive. Great for emails and Bloomberg. Much better than an iPhone.

以前從android,iphone,WP換換換到passport之後,再也會不去了。。。 雖然沒有注音要多學拼音,但是整體穩定性以及鍵盤觸感,學拼音,不過就是個小插曲。。 超級推薦!!!!
