Posted: 20:34 13 Jan 06 #1I am having difficulty in installing my 30GB Ipod on my Win XP PC. The PnP VID ID for this Apple Ipod appears to conflict with StMp3Rec.inf setup file which I believe needs amending to configure it but I don’t know how to do it. I really need to use the fast USB 2.0 port but no go! My old laptop with USB 1.0 works fine with this Ipod but too slow! My Tom Tom 700 Sat Nav has the same problem hence me returning to a slower laptop USB 1.0 port. The Ipod does show up in the Device Manger in XP with yellow warning exclamation mark [saying drivers not installed] but it just won't install the drivers. I keep get a message Configflags notinstalled message or the name Ipod is being used elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.
