Is it possible to connect two flash cards together but still have them docked in the machine? Sounds funny? There is heaps of discussion about PDA and USB connections. While 99% of PDAs cannot use USB due to host hardware there is a CF to USB cable available. As PDAs can I/O to CF cards, why can't you connect two cards up, have one sitting in the PDA and the other in the mass storage (assuming it has CF slot) and have them talk to each other? Presumably it only requires software and a little thought about connections. Am I being too optomistic? Do you think this would be feasable? It may only need the two control units joined, who knows? BUT, if it worked...

I face the same problem: If I am on holiday I don't want to carry my notebook or any computer with me, but still want to save my pictures from my digital camera. The camera works with xD Picture Card, which usually can be put in the card readers through CF or SD converter. I have a 1GB IBM microdrive which also works with CF interface. So all I would need is a compact flash to compact flash copy WITHOUT computer. I don't know anything about USB protocols and such things but maybe somebody with such knowledge could say something if this is pheasible..... I would put it together if anybody would suggest a circuit diagram or a source how could I do it....
